Without a doubt, Mickey Bunn is a versatile man of many talents, wearing many different hats, as the old saying goes.

Most folks in Southwest Middle Tennessee start their weekday routine waking up in the mornings to the sound of "Mickey-in-the Morning" on KIX-96.7 FM, located in Centerville, TN.  Mickey has been KIX-96's early morning drive-time on-air personality since 1993, playing the music and hit records of the top country music recording artists as well as playing requests called in by his many fans from around the area. You can catch up on all of the latest news from around the region and results of the TITANS, KATS and VOLS games. Mickey has interviewed some of the biggest stars in the Country Music business including George Jones, Ed Bruce, Craig Morgan, Earl Thomas Conley, T.Graham Brown, Blake Shelton, Hal Ketchum, Little Texas lead singer Tim Rushlow, Ken Mellons, Del Reeves as well as up and coming stars like Blaine Larsen and local artist Damon Wherry from Wherry Road, Bluesman Stan Hedges as well as Charlie Garner who led the Del Reeves Goodtime Charlie's for more than 20 years.  Mickey has also had the pleasure of interviewing Comedy stars like Mike Snider and a man he calls his hero, Cledus T. Judd (no relation) as well as THE Voice of the Tennessee Titans Mike Keith, Titans Radio producer Larry Stone, Judge Larry Joe Daugherty from the hit TV show Texas Justice and George (Goober) Lindsey from the Andy Griffith Show.   Just recently Mickey interviewed Country Singer / Songwriter Ruby Lovett.  Throw in some weather reports and forecasts, a cup of coffee, some humorous jokes and stories..... what else could a person ask for to start the day?

 I first met Mickey Bunn late on a Friday night in 1993 at
 Bucksnort, for the purpose of transferring broadcast
 equipment for a next-day broadcast which Mickey
 emceed.
 I was duly impressed with his knowledge and zeal for
 broadcasting and my wife said: "Honey, that was you
 15
 years ago", so I knew I needed Mickey to help me
 make
 our local radio station a success.
 Aside from a short hiatus, Mickey has been the
 sign-on
 man, music and program director and
 fixer-of-all-things broken, for over 12 years now
 and
 he's just hitting his stride. I am so very proud of
 Mickey and Sheila and what they mean to the
 community.
